Client: State Street Bank
Location: Quincy, MA
Architect: Gensler
Project Description:
Elaine Construction’s work with State Street includes a series of complex, multi-phased projects aimed at transforming their Quincy campus. These efforts included a campus wide window replacement project, a 255,000SF interior restack/renovation, and a 40,000SF courtyard reconstruction – each project requiring extensive planning, coordination, and execution in an active, occupied corporate campus environment.
The interior renovation was delivered in successive phases, including gut renovations of the fifth, fourth, and third floors, followed by the first and second floors. The scope encompassed new lighting and controls, carpeting, paint, furniture upgrades, and the installation of state-of-the-art audiovisual systems. Floor layouts were reconfigured to support a more flexible, hybrid workforce through a blend of private offices, open workstations, and collaborative spaces. The project also included the renovation of six restrooms and the addition of a wellness-focused mother’s room.
The 40,000SF courtyard renovation included the exterior transformation and installation of 215 helical piles to support a new elevated balcony structure, as well as exposed aggregate concrete walkways and custom wood decking.
