Client: Mintz Levin
Location: One Financial, Boston
Architect: Stantec

Project Description:
In need of a renovation and the return of unused space to the Landlord, Mintz Levin underwent a complex, 12 phase, 156,000SF occupied, restack.

With 591 employees in their Boston Location, and no swing space, it was necessary to conduct the renovations during the evenings and on weekends.  The scope consisted of substantial renovation to four of the floors with paint and carpet upgrade on other floors.  A well planned and executed upgrade to the Mintz Server Room was undertaken.  Throughout the 7 floors there were Executive Assistant stations, which required separate sub-phasing attack plans, as the work needed to be completed over the course of a weekend.  The workplan sequence included the disconnect of power and data, and removal of furniture Friday afternoons at 4pm.  This was followed by carpet rip-up and skim coating of floors, Saturday morning carpet install, and furniture reassembly, and finally, Sunday morning power and data reconnect.  This approach and other best practices for occupied renovations including; Wayfinding, and In-door Air Quality protocols resulted in the successful completion and turnover of this complex project.
