Project Description:

Over the years, Elaine Construction has completed
numerous projects for InterSystems, including multifloor renovations with interconnecting stairs, the conversion of a parking garage into corporate
offices, major infrastructure upgrades, and the
addition of a data room.

The most significant undertaking to date is the
relocation of InterSystems’ Global Headquarters
to One Congress Street in Boston – 420,000SF of
contiguous space spanning 13 floors, delivered in
three carefully sequenced phases.

  • Phase I included the build-out of 118 private offices, 21 conference rooms, pantries on every floor, coffee bars, a green room, podcast studio, video production suite, virtual training rooms, restrooms, and wellness rooms.
  • Phase II, spanning seven floors over 62 weeks, added 129 private offices and 48 additional conference rooms of various sizes. Key program spaces in this phase included the reception area, ornamental interconnecting stair, café, training rooms, and an innovation center designed to showcase the company’s forward-thinking technologies.
  • Phase III – the final phase, included multiple private offices, common areas, conference rooms and restrooms.
