At Elaine Construction we like to think that we practice what we preach when it comes to sustainability. Some of our initiatives include:

• Working with organizations that reuse and repurpose materials, Elaine has reduced construction debris by an average of a ton per jobsite.
• Elaine’s field operations policies on recycling have reduced daily waste on our jobsites by an average of 1 30-yard dumpster of cardboard, metals, ceiling tiles, carpet, insulation and plastics per week.
• Our offices meet the rigorous standards of LEED Gold certification and are enjoying a 60% reduction in energy consumption and a 40% reduction in water usage.
• Elaine’s office garden produced 10 pounds of tomatoes, 15 pounds of cucumbers, a bushel of basil and a summer full of fun.
• Our Project Management and Estimating teams include LEED Professionals.
