MEP Infrastructure Upgrades to Drydock 21 – 23.  The following systems are being integrated into the building(s):

  • (6) cooling towers (400 ton capacity per tower)
  • Open loop, closed loop, and hot water pumps
  • (3) condenser water plate frame heat exchangers
  • (3) steam heat exchangers and associated equipment
  • New energy management system
  • New 6,000 amp electrical service
  • Water cooled, packaged air conditioning units for tenant spaces
  • New fresh air system on all floors

Working in close coordination with Cosentini, the consulting engineers, design was refined, release early packages prepared, and materials bought out.  Complex coordination with NStar and Boston Water and Sewer was required.  Logistics, phasing, and communications plans were developed to address the occupied nature of the facility.  Installation and integration of systems were carried out across 1M SF.
