Winston Flowers

Winston Flowers, Boston based high end florist, sought to expand their retail operation outside the city of Boston. The former Seltzer's Garden City located on Route 9 in Newton provided the perfect venue for an expanded Winston Flower shop. Elaine Construction, serving as the project's construction manager, renovated the one story stucco building adding a metal canopy on the front, enhanced entry, and granite walkways leading to the shop's greenhouses. The interior retained some of the building's original features including a concrete floor, which was painted, as well as adding mosaic tile walls to create the feel of different rooms within the large open space. An information and checkout desk constructed of stone was custom designed for the space.
